Got into a little argument with my friend this morning 'cause she kept trying to put her hands in the midst of her dogs play fighting. Told her, "Won't rush you to the hospital if one of them accidentally bites you," and she gave me this look of, "Scoff! They're sweet dogs they wouldn't dream of biting me!" eh, not if it got out of hand. It even made me chuckle in the back of my mind when she'd go, "No..." when they'd resume play fighting. Gotta let them be dogs, just like with children. Got to let them be children while being firm. But with dogs, it's not as easy 'cause they don't like to listen as often as kids don't listen.
This afternoon, actually, evening--yeah, evening... My friend's 2 yr old son kept his usual high pitched screeching/screaming. You know, the same pitch and length 'cause they like the sound? Well, it was amusing, my friend who was driving said, "Put a cork in it," and the 2 yr old, being in that repeat what you say phase, looks to his mom after she says, "Stop that," he goes, "Put a cork in it," and my friend and I just looked at each other as she paused and went, "Oops,"
But, then my clingy friend, this morning, went and accused me of calling her 'dumb'. Which, I didn't. THEN she said, after we argued a little more, "So, stop accusing me of not training my dogs," and I just looked at her with an offended look on my face and said, "There you go, twisting what I say around," and she goes, "No I'm not," that's when I lightly rolled my eyes and went, "Yes, you are. I said you weren't giving them as much exercise as the breed needs, nothing about not training them," and she shut up real quick.
Oye... Sorry for ranting like that. Just had to get it out of my system. My folks (probably along with quite a few friends) are probably getting tired of hearing me basically complain about that same thing. My friend doesn't listen to me when I give her advice, she resumes her usual which often times makes me THINK that she's kind of dumb.
Honestly, if she'd think before acting or speaking, I'd stop thinking, "Wow, that was a dumb response," or, "Wow, that was just flat out dumb of you," then there wouldn't be any reason for others to have that even cross their minds.
Oh, she started veering into another lane again this morning. The sun wasn't even in our eyes, so she can't use that as an excuse. Always with the, "Sorry, sorry!" but then does it again. I know she's not doing it on purpose, but I just really, REALLY don't understand why her folks allow her to drive when she has a mental condition like this. I mean, here's what's telling me she SHOULDN'T.
-Meds
-Government telling her she can't work 'cause she THINKS she can't
-Service dog
And last but not least...
-The mental disorder in general
Honestly, it scares me. I don't see how she can comfortably drive knowing that she has her precious service dog in the back seat. If she were to get into a wreck, she'd get injured and her dog would be the first to go. Last night she passionately, again, exclaimed, "But, I need her!" And I thought to myself, "Yeah, uh-huh, sure you do. You need her companionship,"
Another thing and I swear I'll be finished... A dog notices, ANY animal actually, when you're upset and such, right? Right. Well, her dog clearly thought, "Okay, my owner is just a little upset," probably due to the prayer and such this morning, I was waiting for her dog to prompt me like she's supposed to, but here's what got me... My friend FORCES her dog to notice that she was crying. The dog wanted to lay down, but she forced the dog up and pretty much forced the dog to lick her face and such. It's like, she's not gonna do that ALL the time. My friend may THINK she HAS to, but I don't notice she cries all the time 'cause I figure, I'm giving into behavior I don't like. Which is what I do with her dog. I pet her dog when she's calm. Telling the dog, you have to be calm and such before you get my affections.
I may sound harsh and such, but you know... That's just how it is with me. I don't want to give into her behavior 'cause, like a child, she'll learn from those responses and resume them. Not only that, she used to "cry wolf" all the time a few years ago, so nobody believes her really when something supposedly happens. You know? I take it with a grain of salt, 'cause I don't know if she's faking it or just blowing it out of the water.
Okay, I said I was going to be done what... A paragraph ago? Sorry. Didn't mean to go on a rant like that. I'm finished now.
